Updated: The ANTI-TERRORISM ACT OF 2020 (Republic Act No. 11479)

Update: President Duterte has signed the bill into law as announced on 3rd July 2020. The law shall take effect after fifteen (15) days following the completion of its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation The law is now officially known as Republic Act No. 11479 (RA 11479) and shall repeal Human Security Act of 2007.

The Malacañang received the copy of the enrolled bill last June 9th, waiting for Pres. Duterte to 1) sign the bill to be passed into law, 2) veto the measure, or 3) decide not to act on it and the bill will lapse into law 30 days after receipt.
