The Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act (Republic Act No. 11861) which grants more benefits to single parents, has lapsed into law on June 4, 2022. The Expanded Act provides solo parents with additional work leave, scholarship and cash subsidy, and priority status in government low-cost housing projects.
